The Model 839-E can be connected directly to a computer which can then be programmed to administer a cardiovascular fitness test automatically. No other product provides the 839-E’s unique testing protection in that the workload is completely controlled by the computer. Students cannot “spoof” the test!! Other features include:
- Constant workload independent of pedal speed
- Workload may be set in terms of power (watts or kpm/min), force (Newton) or oxygen requirement (ml/kg/min)
- Built-in digital timer
- Serial communication port for external PC
- Parallel port for printer
- Built-in protocols for calculating aerobic capacity in accordance with Astrand, Bruce, or YMCA
